Within my degree I was given the opportunity to take part in a live competition brief for Joules, to create a clothing collection for the brand. Re-exploring where I grew up in the North York Moors in lockdown, I found myself reconnecting with nature and rediscovering its small delights, enjoying the simple things which I forgot brought me happiness when I was younger. Wildflowers of Westerdale explores and highlights the simplicity and beauty of flora found on the moorland which often gets lost and overlooked.
